Dog Barking Recording
How can I do to build a chamber music room / recording?
I'm 12 and I am forming a group. Whenever I record, I can hear my dog barking in the background (among other random noises, cars, talking, etc..) So, I built a room in my yard with rock form soundproofed. But I have no idea what to put in a room music / voice other than guitar, bass. drums, a microphone, and a few amps. I want to record and play music there. So what do I do? Computer? Editing software? Some type cable that converts a cable amp in something that goes into a computer or a sound card or something else? I do not know! So, if you can tell me the main components good music recording room / I really appreciate it.
You would need something called an audio interface run between the instruments and computer. In my experience, easier to use is the Digidesign M-Box Mini 2, which is the size of a cassette video and plugs into the USB port of your computer so that your music can save directly to disk. There are two inputs for microphones or instruments, so you can record the entire band with two microphones or record tracks separately and mix them using editing software. The Most interfaces are supplied M-Box with ProTools, so you should have everything you need for basic registrations, except microphones and cables. ProTools is a time to learn, but I recommend the book "Pro Tools for Dummies." This is an excellent guide to getting started and will save you hours agony.
