Dog Barking Noise Ordinance

How to deal with noisy neighbors
Everyone has probably had them, which is noisy neighbors. Like you go to sleep, they start the game. Or maybe just a dog or are just very inconsiderate. The good news is that you have options to deal with this situation beyond having to face the person or put up with it.
1. Check ORDERS
Obtain a copy of your local noise laws. Most cities and counties have ordinances that control the time, the types and intensity of noise. For example, many local ordinances prohibit noise of vehicles unreasonable (like honking the car horn every morning for a carpool) or dogs barking all night, every night. noisy neighbors are a warning or even fined. You can watch your local ordinance at the town hall, a library of public law or public library. At least two copies, one for your neighbor and one for you.
2. Notify your neighbor WRITING
If things do not improve, ask your neighbor to tone it down. If this does not work, put it in writing. Do not make threats, but said that if the situation does not improve you'll be forced to notify authorities. Join a copy of the order of the noise. Keep a copy of your letter, you will need it if, as a last resort, after you continue your neighbor.
3. Suggest mediation
Most cities offer free mediation services or low cost, which means they provide a mediator impartial will sit with you and your neighbor and try to help you resolve your differences.
Simply call the mediation service; someone there will contact the neighbor and suggest mediation. (These people are very good at convincing others to do the mediation a chance.)
4. CALL THE POLICE
If you've done all the above and your neighbor has responded by increasing the volume, the time has come to call the police (or Animal Control Officer if the problem is a dog barking). Try to get the police to come while the noise is ongoing.
Course you can call the police on a noisy neighbor the first time the music is too loud for your taste. But the police will be more sympathetic to your situation if they see you tried to resolve the problem by yourself.
If you are someone who does not want confrontation, here are some other tips to help you survive the noise:
1. Use white noise: white noise, like a fan or something that produces a sound, even help divert your attention from the noise and often help you sleep.
2. Soundproof your home. There are many professionals who can help you soundproof your home so it is efficient and effective.
3. Use earplugs. This may be your last resort before going to your neighbor, but for many people it works.
