How do I prevent my dog from barking at people?

It is still a puppy. So we keep it in the laundry room [we have a great laundry room] really a baby carrier. When people walk through his door, he starts going crazy and barks a lot and if you try to stroke it will stifle you, but when it is left to wander the house or outside it is perfect. He gets a lot of exercise. He walked the entire block all days.

Oh well. I think the answer is obvious .. Since dogs are pack animals, and you want to be with people and participate in any what they do .. You shut your dog away from people is frustrating him .. He wants to be part of the family and you shut it. Train him, teach him what is wrong and what is fair, what is expected of him, train him in the House, currently fund it, get him plenty of exercise and to enable the poor little guy to be part of family. I would bite and bark too if I was always locked and out of the fun!
